Here is the formula for % body weight lost:
(starting weight - ending weight)/starting weight = answer *100 = % body weight lost
For example, if Gretchen started the challenge at 250 lbs and ended at 238.5 lbs, it would go like this:
(250-238.5) or 11.5 lbs divided by her starting weight of 250 to get 0.046. Multiply by 100 which gives you 4.6 or 4.6%.
On Sunday the 20th, you can post your percentage below if you want to compete for the prize. ($50 for the winner of each gender).

Behold the mighty 3% lost! Okay, I wasn't really competing for this one, but didn't have anywhere to post points for the week and could just see myself forgetting. So unless the unthinkable happens in the next 24 hours, it's another good week of 28. (or however many points it works out to if we're allowed to eat junk food tomorrow evening)

ReplyDeleteVirgina- "5.1% Whoo Hoo, what a great Christmas/birthday present to myself! Who knew I could lose weight during the Holidays? I missed tasting the goodies this year during my baking, but, I don't miss the added pounds. I still look forward to eating my birthday cake on Christmas. Thanks for a wonderful Christmas gift Michelle!"
ReplyDeleteI lost 8.5% and learned some pretty cool things about making exercise happen and that I can be happy without sweets ; )
