Post Week 5 Points Here.

Hi All,

Happy Halloween : )

Another week in the books! I don't know about you, but this was the hardest week for me so far. I feel like I kind of hit the wall and we had to get through Halloween to boot.

On a fun note. We challenged our girls to go with only one treat a week during the course of the challenge. Rachel, our 6 year old has done amazing, but was worried about how to handle her Halloween candy. We came up with the solution of putting it in a shoe box, wrapping it up like a Christmas present and then she wrote her self a little Christmas card. She will place the "present" under the tree and plans on opening it a little early.

On a sneaky note, at the ward Trunk or Treat, we know Chance that you put your son up to sending Michelle the little candy bar. Nice try!

Jake

  2. 28 this week, but it was hard. Even though I don't like sweets I was craving some ice cream and an entire pizza! I think by the end of the week my body is tired after 6 hard days of exercise... Michelle I knew you had the will power to resist... but the funny little twist is that my boys have been tempting me w/ candy bars the last two days... I guess I deserve it. :) Have a great week everyone.

  4. 28. I was saved during trick-or-treating by a few homes offering non-candy items (nacho cheese chips, fruit roll-ups, scones). OK, so maybe fruit roll-ups are pushing it, but never fear, my uber-competitive friends, my perfect score won't last much longer. I'm hitting the road in a couple weeks and it will literally be impossible to get enough sleep every night. Plus I'm getting tired of my ridiculous self-imposed ban on candy. Running, on the other hand, is not ridiculous, and it's even more fun in new places. Can't wait!

  7. So earlier this week I was in public, super hungry, nursing the baby, and shaking due to lack of enough food that morning. I reached into the diaper bag saw a granola bar and ate it up. Afterwards I thought, "The diet!"

Well, here's the deal. Granola bars AREN'T on my DON'T EAT list. Maybe I was thinking that they should have been which is silly because if it were granola cereal, I'd eat it. I've been pondering about it all week with different ideas. But I've come to a resolve. Yesterday and today I've felt just fine about eating it. No guilt. So with that said, I'm going to say 28.

(But it definatly did go against the diet Brother Pinter put me on, which I am also trying to do. Yes, I am totally guilty for cheating there. And yes, I really did feel bad about that.)

  8. 21, my worst week yet! But the Halloween Candy leaves the house on Monday morning, so next week should be much improved.

  9. 28 - made my kids hit a candy manditory aquisition quota and then collected the 33% "daddy tax" (which will, um, "offset their health care costs in 2014") and I have it safely locked away in the big ol' safe until Mid December.
I also bought a killer bike trainer that my bike is hook up to now. It allows for side to side bike movement. I can't wait to use it this week and not freeze my toushy off outside.

  10. 27. Yes, you read correctly - 27, which basically means that I'm out of the running (anything less than perfection won't cut it in this competition). I was blind-sided by a cream-puff free sample at Sam's club. There I was, minding my own business, when out of no where this guy had all these free cream puffs. I think he practically shoved it in my mouth - I tried to resist - but it was no use. Before I knew it, the cream puff had been swallowed. So that is the sad story of how I lost a point, and with it, 1/15 of the prize money.
